First established in 1990 as Alphabet Childcare,
we are a Bristol-based agency providing a
comprehensive childcare service, with Consultants in
Bristol, Bath, North Somerset & Gloucestershire.
Leaving children in the care of others
is a very daunting process for parents and this agency specialises in
providing competent, professional Nannies & Nursery
Nurses.
As qualified & experienced Nursery Nurses we are confident that we can identify with parental anxieties and we do our
utmost to ensure that every candidate registered with us is honest, reliable
and can be fully trusted with the responsibility of caring for young
children.
The Team
Tara Parsons
qualified as a Nursery Nurse in 1994 with a BTEC National Diploma in
Childcare. Since this time she has been employed as a Nanny, in America and
the UK, a Nursery Nurse for Social Services & a Family Support Worker before
going on to train as a Social Worker. During all of her assignments and studies, Tara
remained registered with Alphabet Childcare for temporary employment, until
she became a partner in the company in 1998.
Tara
now has two young children of her own & continues to enjoy working in
Alphabet Childcare
Alison Hooper
qualified in 1990 with a Diploma in Nursery Nursing ( NNEB ) Throughout the two years at
college she worked as a holiday Playscheme Worker, leading to a post as
assistant leader. She also performed temporary nanny assignments, including
nanny, creche, nursery nursing and babysitting.
In 1991, Alison started
working for the Social Services, initially as a Nursery Nurse before
becoming a children and family Support
Worker, providing an at-home support service within the
Bristol East area.
Throughout her career, Alison
has worked for Alphabet Childcare on temporary and babysitting assignments.
She finally became a partner in Alphabet Childcare in the year 2000,
sharing her time between the company and Social Services.
Dawn Gardner
qualified
in 1994 with a Diploma In Nursery Nursing (NNEB ), having worked for
many years prior to this in childcare as a Nanny for private families & in
Residential Children's Homes through Social Services. She first registered
with Alphabet Childcare when she qualified in 1994 and worked mainly on
short term / temporary assignments until March 2001,
when she joined the team in the office.
In August 2006
Dawn joined Tara & Alison
as one of the Directors of Alphabet Childcare ( South West) Ltd. She
continues to work in the Agency on a full time basis, offer families and candidates support, advice and information
with regard to all aspects of the service we provide.
Dawn
thoroughly enjoys all aspects of her role but has a particular interest in
the Maternity Nursing as she also holds the
Maternity Practitioners Award having gained the qualification in February
2006 as part of her professional development.
