We are hosting a Paediatric First Aid Course to run over two consecutive Saturdays,
at our office in Henleaze – 9.30am - 4.30pm

The next available dates are as follows:

The cost of the course is £70.00 inclusive.

This course is suitable for anyone wishing to register with Ofsted as Homecarers / Childminders but will also be of interest to anyone who cares for, or works with children including Parents / Grandparents / Nursery Staff / Teaching staff / Youth Workers / Social Workers etc.

Tickle Your Tastebuds are fun fruit & vegetable activity sessions for children aged 18mths - 5yrs allowing them to explore fruit & vegetables through play, songs & stories. Each week there is a different fruit & vegetable & they might chop / grate & even taste it ( if they want to). These are unique sessions designed to encourage sensory, numeracy & literacy skills & everything is provided including Goodie Bags & Nutritional Tips for parents / carers.

The Weaning Workshops will cover weaning and then go on to cover diet in the first year, including the way allergies, introduction of lumpy food & finger food could be covered. This is a very practical / informal session with plenty of demonstrations on how to prepare healthy food.

POSITION: This family with two daughters aged 2 and 5yrs and a baby due in March 09, require a Mothers Help / Housekeeper to come twice a week to help mum with household duties & getting the girls breakfast and help get them dressed etc. You will need to be reliable, happy, helpful and willing to do the tidy up, cleaning, some ironing, sorting the washing / doing the laundry and preparing meals etc. BTWM`s will be considered. As you can see there are more part time vacancies available than full time.  To increase your chances of finding full time work, why not marry two or three part time positions together?  This will give you more variety and the challenge of working in different environments means that boredom will never have a chance to set in!  Also families who only want part time cover usually pay at the higher end of the market so financially, you could be better off in the long run!

The children are both home educated so you do need to sympathetic with this philosophy & happy to incorporate it when planning activities.  You also need to have lots of initiative & imagination to be able to answer the endless questions of two curious children. There are no fixed activities / strict routines at present so the parents would be very happy for someone to present a wide range of “adventures” to keep the children interested & happy.  The family are vegetarian so you also need to be conscious of this when planning meals / snacks for the children as the parents do not want them to have any artificial colourings / sweeteners or general rubbish in their diet!. You do not need to be a driver as the mum doesn’t drive so the children are used to walking or using public transport. Dad occasionally works from home but has an office which is separate from the main house.  You will need to be happy around animals as the family has a old & very friendly cat.
